Channel Nine wtf are you doing?????

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
I have watched Episodes 2, 5 and then 4 of Flashpoint because Channel Nine seems to think that's how you show a series. Who cares that when you look at an episode guide it goes 1x01, 1x02, 1x03, 1x04 and so on. That's just there for show, no reason to follow the numbering.

Fun with photoshop...

Been having fun browsing through psdtuts.com lately and from this tutorial came up with this. I'm quite pleased with the result.

So this is Christmas...

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Little bit late but oh well...

The haul..... )

And lol at JB Hifi. I went to Perth on Christmas Eve to pick up my sisters partner's present and when I got home that evening and went to wrap it I discovered that the losers hadn't even given it to me. I'd paid $90 for this game and they'd just forgotten to include it with the rest of my stuff. I felt so awesome on Thursday when he got home and I couldn't give him anything. :-/ I had to make a trip to Perth today to pick the thing up which was surprisingly easy. I imagine I could have told them they'd not given me a heap of stuff and they would have just handed it over.

And now I'm off to continue my The Shield marathon. Gotta pick up Season 5 next week.

Work is....

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Meh, work is kicking my arse at the moment. I've gone from working 4 mornings a week to 4 full days a week and I'm finding it rather jarring. I go to work, come home and sleep for a couple of hours, get up and have tea, watch some tv for a little bit and then go back to bed and get ready to do it all over again the next day. What was I thinking when I said yes to all these extra hours.

The dumbest thing about work at the moment is that I'm doing things that the TAFE should have had done ages ago. They're getting ready for some of their courses to be audited but seriously, this shit I'm doing should have already been done. How the hell they're delivering courses to students effectively is beyond me. Oh, that's right, they're not and the college is on a ten year timeline to decide if it will be shut down. Well, of course it will if it carries on like this.

Medals Mod: 10000; Me: 1!!!

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Hell yeah!!! I did it. I finally got the Medals Mod installed and operational. I've only been working on that for the last couple of months. :-/ But it is done and i am so pleased. And nobody better ask me to do that again because I ripped bits and pieces from about 3 different versions of the mod that I have no idea exactly what parts come from which version. But, due to this mod I have learnt quite a bit about mysql, databases and the coding behind Nuke Evolution so I guess that's a good thing...

Joinimg the land of the employed...

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Wow. I have gone from not having a job for a year to working 4 half days a week to now having what pretty much equals a full time job. Eeek. I am now currently in that frame of mind where I don't want to work, that's how long it's been since I last had a job. I'm still thinking a full-time job is beyond me but this is only supposed to be for a couple of months tops so I'll struggle along, earn some extra cash and then wander back in to the land of the unemployed and then hopefully back into school if I can work that right. And now I have to get ready to go to Perth with the sister even though all I want to do is curl up in bed and sleep. :-/

Not so blind....

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
*Vomits* I'm on the dole and I just went and spent $600 on a new pair of glasses yesterday. It would have been nearly $800 if I had also got transition lenses but I just could not afford that so I had to sacrifice that optional extra and instead I'll go back in January and get myself a pair of sunglasses then. Best part about it is I'm apparently not as blind as I was back in 2004 and I've had the strength taken down quite a bit. And it explains why my current glasses kill my eyes and give me a shocking headache. I also finally got to update my frames to something completely different to my last couple of pairs. I also had to take mum glasses shopping for the first time yesterday. Was rather funny watching her trying to decide whether to get a free pair of frames on her health insurance or spend $200 on the first frame she picked out. I convinced her to spend the money and get the cooler glasses by telling her she couldn't have crap for her first pair of glasses.

And I've decided to go back to school. Now I have to decide if I want to settle with either the Bachelor of Technology (Computing Studies) or The Bachelor of Arts (Internet Studies) at Open Universities or go all out and go for the Bachelor of Computer Science at ECU. I just know I'm going to do one of them because I'm so unhappy with my current situation and I feel like it's the right time to maybe make a change and aim for something I've always wanted but never thought I could have.

ETA: Blah, Dad talked me into getting transition lenses so now I'm really breaking the budget. :-/

Quarter of a century....

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Celebrated my birthday today by going to the football and watching the Eagles get thrashed. How pathetic. I don't even want to think about that really so onto better things.

In short form I got:

- G15 Gaming Keyboard
- G5 Gaming Mouse
- Razer ExactMat
- Shirt
- Season 1 & 2 of Due South

from the parents and:

- The Host by Stephenie Meyer

from my sister and her partner. Pretty good haul considering our current situation. And I love everything I got. I've just started watching Due South and I love that show. I remember watching this show years ago on TV but for the life of me I can't remember what episodes I saw because none of the episodes I've seen so far seem familiar. And now I am off to watch more Due South.

Invalid Session. Please resubmit the form.... WTF is that??

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Lookie!! Lookie!! At what I backed up and transferred last night!! Only, I can't post on the forums and I think that might go for everybody minus admin people. So, while it looks pretty it's not exactly functional as of yet and I've tried all these suggested solutions on the forums and I still can't post. Bugger.

Hmmm, I started work last week and it was supposed to go for a month only I've finished up already because they changed their mind about the CSO thing only nobody ever told me and the girl that I was filling in for that everybody said wouldn't come back..... well, she came back today so I got sent home. I'm rather irritated about this because I thought I was going to have 4 weeks of work and make a little bit of money and now I'm not. Quite unprofessional I think.

Meh, we lost the football on the weekend. And I don't care what anybody says I still think the last free kick was dodgy. The guy ducked and got caught high. I thought that ducking into a tackle used to be play on?? Lol @ the guy sitting behind us though. He got so annoyed at how Sydney played. He reckoned they play faggotball and pooftaball and every other ball under the sun except for football. I do believe he got into a bit of a stoush with a Sydney supporter at the end of the game. Good on him I say. Watching Sydney play football is about as entertaining as watching grass grow. Only, that moves faster than a Sydney game. Boring football they play. Oh, but the Brett Jones bump on that fugly Lewis Roberts-Thomson. That's old school footy and I loved it. Clean, hard and just plain awesome.

OMG....... *starts saving* Dead set, do they think I'm made of money?!?!? That's kinds of nuts. I've not paid that kind of price for a boxset for years. Hmmmm, these are a little bit better. Still insane though for a cartoon series but I think I'd nearly kill to own this so I'll have to pay it. I... It... I don't know. I just about fell off my chair when I saw the price. I think my jaw hit the floor. I shouldn't have been surprised. The conversion rate from the UK worked out to $80+ and I guess when you add on postage.....Still makes me feel ill.

CBS logic does not resemble Earth logic...

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
*scratches her head* CBS want to attract more female viewers to their station so they cancel a TV show with two hot guys in it......... Rightio. I am unsure who at that station thought female viewers would want to watch shows about women. I like watching shows with guys in them. I particularly liked watching Alex O'Loughlin and Jason Dohring in the same show. But really, this is why I stay away from tv shows until I know they're going to get at least two seasons. I get sick of finding a new show, getting attached and then having it cancelled because it "didn't rate well enough". Yeah, sure, whatever you want us to believe.....

I want to be on the selection committee for the West Coast Eagles

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Stupid, stupid stupid. Where the hell is Spangher?!?!?!?! What a stupid team. I don't want to go now. We're going to probably get absolutely thrashed and my new favourite player isn't even playing. What crap. That is all I have to say on the matter.

Christmas is all about the presents.... right??

Add to Memories Tell a Friend

Christmas Haul... )
So we spent the most of Christmas day playing Pool. Was very nice except it was disgustingly hot. We eventually decided to migrate inside and watch the Die Hard dvd's for the rest of the day since Mum got the box set for Christmas. All in all it was quite a nice day considering how hot it was.

I'm off to see National Treasure: Book of Secrets on Monday since I have such a major crush on Justin Bartha. He seems like such a douche but I find him oh so attractive. :-/ I plan on spending the evening playing pool and getting nice and drunk to ring in the New Year. And then on Friday it's I Am Legend day.

Amazon is the devil or should that be UPS?? )

Sport, sport, sport!!!!!! And a computer....

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Ooooh, Ten HD will be showing two live games of the NFL from September next year. Roll on next season of the NFL!! Let's hope that their coverage is in addition to what foxtel is already showing and not taking away from it or just showing the same games as foxtel.

Tyson Stenglein is a vice captain!!! That is so good. I'm so proud of him. :) My favourite player is doing so well. Although, not good because he's already getting enough attention. Don't need any more. I want him all to myself.

Ooooh, and I am currently still in love with my quad core computer. It's so shiny and fast. I love playing Gears of War on it. Only bad thing is, is that it's my christmas present so I don't get anything for christmas because I just "had" to have it now. Oh well, I'm having far too much fun to worry about that.
